Russell Ficara, D.C. | Chiropractic Physician​

       Dr. Ficara is treatment director at Living Well Center. He has been in private practice for over 30 years. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he received his bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from Florida State University. Upon graduation Dr. Ficara was a science teacher and track coach. During this time he developed a keen interest in health & wellness.

 

     Dr. Ficara then enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, graduating in 1988 with honor's with a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. He later studied acupuncture at the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. Dr. Ficara is one of the few doctors in south Florida who is trained by Chiropractic Hand & Foot Clinics of AmericaTM in treating hand and foot conditions with gentle adjustments. Dr. Ficara has also taken extensive post-graduate studies in nutrition & nutritional purification, along with post-grad studies in Whiplash & Brain Trauma from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego to better help patients in automobile accidents.

 

 

 

(Geraldine)Dena Bower, LCSW, CAP | Psychotherapist​

 

      Dena is clinical director of counseling at Living Well Center. She began her education in nursing, which stimulated her interest in the human mind & body. Dena earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and women's studies from FIU, and her Master's degree in social work from Barry University. Dena studied at Hanley Hazelden to earn her CAP (Addiction Professional Certificate). She is also trained as a teleclass leader, strategist coach, and is certified by the State of Florida to provide supervision for social workers.

    

     Dena has extensive counseling experience focusing on recovery issues, including traumatic stress, sexual abuse, loss & grief, substance abuse, as well as interpersonal relationships. She emphasizes teaching people the life skills needed for successful living. Dena has been in private practice for 30 years.

   

    Dena provides personal and professional trainings offered through workshops, webinars, teleclasses, homestudy and E-courses. She also provides continuing education trainings for social worker's and mental health counselors.
